Our wait for the power numbers of the formidable second generation 2017 Ford Raptor has been a wait of over a year and a half, and lately, the automotive press have been chomping at the bit. In the steady trickle of information since the truck was unveiled in 2015, we’ve learned quite a bit about what’s in store. Now, we’re pleased to bring you the Numbers of the Beast.
References to Iron Maiden aside, the steely potential of the Blue Oval’s latest off-road pickup cannot be understated. Lighter and boasting a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, Ford has promised its most powerful Raptor yet. The figures of 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque recently leaked have substantiated that claim, as well as the 8,000 lbs. of towing also reported. It arrives at showrooms like ours later this autumn.
