It's no secret that the dangers of operating a motor vehicle are always high. However, there are things that can be done as a precaution, and to ensure your safety as well as that of your passengers and other drivers on the road. We all know there are many distractions, especially once you are behind the wheel of your car. In this new technological era, with the iPhones and smartphones, distractions are right at our fingertips, literally. The thing to remember is that no matter what, your life and the lives of those around you, are of far more importance than a text, tweet or IM. If you have an emergency or you feel you just have to use your phone or send a text message, try to find a place to pull over or wait until you are in a safe place. Remember, it's okay to respond to a text late, if that means saving a life.
